- 1Rinse the rice under cold water. In a medium saucepan, combine rice, milk, sugar, and cardamom pods.

- 3Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring often, for 35-40 minutes until rice is very soft and pudding has thickened.
- 4Remove from heat. Fish out the cardamom pods. Stir in the rose water.
- 5Pour into serving bowls or a large dish. Chill for at least 2 hours. Serve cold, topped with pistachios and rose petals.
