Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches

The ultimate comfort sandwich from Philadelphia features razor-thin slices of beef quickly cooked on a griddle with onions, then piled into a soft hoagie roll and smothered with melted Cheez Whiz or provolone. Crisp on the outside, tender and cheesy on the inside - it's pure indulgence in sandwich form.

    Slice partially frozen steak as thinly as possible against the grain.

    Sauté onions and peppers in oil until soft and slightly caramelized.

    Push vegetables to side, add steak to hot pan. Cook quickly, breaking up pieces.

    Season with Worcestershire, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix with vegetables.

    Butter and toast hoagie rolls. Divide meat mixture among rolls.

    Top with cheese slices and melt under broiler. Serve immediately.
