- 1Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place prepared bell peppers upright in a baking dish.
- 2In a skillet, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain excess fat.
- 3Stir in cooked lentils, cooked rice, diced tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
- 4Spoon the beef mixture into the bell peppers, packing it down. Pour 1/2 cup water into the bottom of the dish.
- 5Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes. Remove foil, top with cheese, and bake for 10 more minutes until cheese is melted.
